AgriTree (ญี่ปุ่น/เวียดนาม) Asia Engine for Net Zero (AENZ) (ฟิลิปปินส์) The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) (อินเดีย) Indonesia Solar Energy Association (AESI) (อินโดนีเซีย) Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) Agora Energiewende และ Earth Sherpa (ญี่ปุ่น)

SGtech Briefs International Experts on Agrivoltaics in Thailand at NSTDA
On October 8, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prapita Thanarak, presented an overview of agrivoltaics research and development in Thailand. The talk was part of the Thailand Agri-Solar Brief Session, held at the Solar Cell Pilot Plant of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) in Pathum Thani. SGtech has been studying agrivoltaics with TGED (GIZ) since 2023.
The field visit took place during Bangkok Climate Action Week 2026. Participants represented the following organizations: AgriTree (Japan/Vietnam), Asia Engine for Net Zero (AENZ) (Philippines), The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) (India), Indonesia Solar Energy Association (AESI) (Indonesia), Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), Agora Energiewende and Earth Sherpa (Japan).
After the presentation, participants joined a Q&A and discussion with Thai solar energy researchers. The visit gave regional experts a clearer picture of agrivoltaics research in Thailand and helped build connections between Thai researchers and international partners.
SGtech thanks NSTDA for hosting the delegation.
